Biggest Contribution so far...
Rising Sun’s third contribution to the Harry Potter franchise has been its biggest to date, designing and delivering a maelstrom of animation and effects oriented work.
Final shots included complex transformations involving hundreds of CG objects, environment extensions, procedurally driven animation for the look of cast spells, match-moved body part replacements and performance heavy character animation.
Rising Sun also provided conceptual design services for many of the characters and sequences within the film.

Slughorn Transformation
The introduction of Professor Slughorn through the transformation of a chair into human form, and the subsequent reforming of his destroyed living room was a challenge right up Rising Sun’s alley. The chair transformation was an opportunity to provide a wide range or character design work prior to commencing complex builds. The Room was a complete fabrication, the only practical moving prop was a picture frame on the wall that straightens itself out, everything else is completely CG.
