Mid to Senior Level Nuke Compositor – Feature Film

Employment period: Immediate start running up to 28 January, 2012.

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking experienced mid level to senior Nuke Compositors to join our team. We are currently working on a high profile feature film, which incorporates stunning effects heavy elements into live action plates. Please only apply if you have significant experience compositing photo-real cg assets: matte paintings, FX, creatures and environments.

Applicants must come from a strong creative background with an emphasis on creating difficult composites featuring sophisticated composition and depth.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use your well-developed understanding of colour space and expert eye, to achieve stunning and complex composites.
- Seamlessly integrate multi-layered CG elements into live action plates.
- Contribute to the look development of the scene, if required.
- Develop and maintain a working relationship with 2d and 3d artists and technicians.
- Ensure the 2d supervisor and sequence coordinator are kept updated of any issues that may hinder your ability to reach deadline.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining sequence and shot consistency.
- Provide clear and accurate time estimates for all work assigned.
- Proven ability to work towards a brief.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 4 years Nuke or similar node based compositing software experience on feature films.
- Thorough understanding of the maths behind composite operations.
- Experience with camera projection techniques a bonus.
- Linux experience, including use of shell and command-line tools.
- Meticulous and methodical work habits.
- Excellent communication skills and an exceptional eye for detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain clarity under pressure.
